In terms of racing bikes, TVS has a huge name in the industry. With the success of its predecessor Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180, TVS has now brought this beast Apache RTR 200 in the market. TVS has maintained that aesthetics in the Apache RTR 200 also. The design of the bike is taken from TVS Draken X-21 250. Talking about the looks this bike has got all the material in it. This bike has got a 200cc non-Fi Engine which can generate a maximum power upto 20.23 BHP at 8500 RPM and a maximum torque of 18.1 NM at 7000 RPM. This bike has got a single cylinder four stroke oil cooled engine. There is a liquid cooling system in the bike. The compression ratio is 11.5:1. The power to weight ratio is 136.68 BHP per ton. The torque to weight Ratio is 122.29 NM per ton. The specific output is 102.3 BHP per litre. This bike has got 4 valves per cylinder.
The bike reaches 0-60 Kmph in just 3.95 seconds and 0-100 Kmph in 12 seconds. The top speed of the bike is 128Kmph which is less than its fellow competitors like Pulsar RS 200, KTM Duke 200, KTM RC 200.
This bike has three options. The first option is with non-Fi engine without ABS and with TVS tyres which will cost 88,990 INR (ex-showroom Delhi). The second option is with EFi model equipped with a fuel injected engine and with Pirelli Tyres which is expected at 1.08 Lakhs INR (ex-showroom Delhi). The third option is with top spec model with a fuel-injected engine, Pirelli Tyres and with Anti-lock Braking system (ABS) is expected to be priced at 1.15 Lakhs INR (ex-showroom Delhi).
The TVS Apache RTR 200 has picked its predecessors and the Draken concept to get this whole new design which is really aggressive. The design is a naked street fighter design. The new Apache RTR 200 comes with a new exhaust system and a step up seat.
The new Apache is surely going to be a mega-hit in the Indian market and will keep the legacy of its predecessors alive. This bike is going to be much better in acceleration and handling than previous Apaches RTR’s.

This is the first 620cc bike which is produced by Indian manufacturer. This bike has an aggressive look and will bring a change in Hero.
The power will be drawn from a 620cc engine. This bike has a 4 stroke, liquid cooled parallel twin engine. It has 2 cylinders .This beast will be featuring a patented CSI cylinder. The maximum power that this beast will generate is 78 Bhp at 9600 RPM. The maximum torque of the bike will produce is 72 Nm at 7750 RPM. A 6 speed constant mesh gearbox is installed in the engine. The expected top speed of the bike is 240 Kmph. The bike is expected to reach 100 Kmph in 3.8 seconds. The power to weight ratio is 493.12 BHP per ton. The torque to weight ratio is 450 Nm per ton.
The expected price of hero huster is around 400000 INR. Hero MotoCorp has revealed the bike in two shades only Yellow and Grey.

As there is a very tough competition for 200cc bikes in the Indian Market, Yamaha is all set to launch its new Yamaha YZF-R25 which is the upgraded version of Yamaha R15. The all new Yamaha YZF-R25 was revealed by Yamaha in 2013 at the Tokyo Motor Show, and is the most awaited bike in Indian market. This bike will be launched in the Indian Market at the end of the year 2015 and will be a tough competition for other bikes like Honda CBR 250R, Pulsar RS 200, Pulsar AS 200, KTM duke, KTM RC 200. As we have seen the success of Yamaha R15, we can say that the bike will be a mega hit in the Indian subcontinent.
The Engine type is DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) and has a 250cc liquid cooled four stroke, 4 valve Engine with a maximum power of 35.5 BHP @ 12000 rpm and a maximum torque of 22.1 Nm @ 10000 rpm.
The gearbox is a six speed manual transmission.
The seat height of this bike is 780mm and the ground clearance is 160 mm which makes this bike perfectly fit for the bumpy roads of India. The net weight of the bike is 166kg. The top speed of the bike is 173 km/h and the fuel tank capacity is 14.3 litres.
The engine of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is a 200cc SOHC (Single Overhead Camshaft) engine, it has a 4 valve, liquid cooled engine. The maximum power of RS 200 is 24.16 BHP @ 9750 rpm and the maximum torque of RS 200 is 18.6 Nm @ 8000 rpm. As we can clearly see that the all new Yamaha YZF-R25 is far ahead than RS 200 in terms of power and torque. The gearbox of Bajaj RS 200 is 6 speed manual transmission gearbox. This will surely be a tough competition for Bajaj. The top speed of RS 200 is 150 km/h which is less than the YZF-R25. Also the fuel tank capacity of RS 200 is less than YZF-R25 which is 13 litres. The net weight of the bike is 147 kg which is a plus point because the weight of YZF-R25 is more than RS 200.
Now the Yamaha YZF-R25 is far ahead of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200
Now coming to KTM 200. The engine of KTM RC 200 is a 199.5 cc engine. The maximum power of RC 200 is 24.65 BHP @ 10000 rpm and the maximum torque of RC 200 is 19.2 Nm @ 8000 rpm. The fuel tank capacity of RC 200 is 9.5 litres. The Gearbox is 6 speed transmission gearbox. The top speed of KTM RC 200 is 140 km/h which is less than Bajaj RS 200. The seat height and the ground clearance is 834 mm and 157mm respectively. The net weight of the bike is 154 kg.
With Honda CBR 250R
The engine of Honda CBR 250R is a 250 cc engine. The maximum power of 250R is 25 BHP @ 8500 rpm and the maximum torque of 250R is 23 Nm @ 7000 rpm. The fuel tank capacity of 250R is 13 litres. The Gearbox is 6 speed transmission gearbox. The top speed of 250R is 147 km/h which is less than Bajaj RS 200 as well as Yamaha YZF-R25. The seat height and the ground clearance is 1127 mm and 145 mm respectively. The net weight of the bike is 167 kg.
We have compared all the aspects of Yamaha YZF-R25 with its competitors and it is clear that Yamaha is clear winner.
The expected price of the Yamaha YZF-R25 is 2, 75,000 INR which will be a major concern for Yamaha but this is the expected price it may come down. All we have to do is to wait for its launch.
